So I've been pretty lucky when it comes to my insurance covering the surgery and getting a date. Ooh my surgery date is August 29, 2011. Anyways I received a phone call from the nurse one day and she informed menthat the surgeon looked at my colonoscopy results(finally) that I had 2 years prior. I had some inflammation and I wanted to make sure he knew. In my mind I was being a good patient. The nurse informs me I need to have another one! Ick!! The surgeon wont perform the RNY if there is inflammation!! Ugh! So of course I'm completely stressed out.
Well, I had my colonoscopy today and my docotor found inflammation and its very mild and doesn't see why the surgeon can't perform the surgery. So hopefully Thursday I will have good news. I hope that I can still have surgery. My surgeon did dlsay he would perform the lapband procedure if it comes down to it. But I really really don't want that one. So I am thinking happy thoughts!
